In Annapolis, a lot of houses sit on lots barely wider than the house itself, from Murray Hill's 1920s colonials to the 1868 street grid of Eastport. MAC Dumpsters starts most in-town jobs with a 10 yard at $375, our shortest container, and steps up to a 15 yard at $450 for a room-by-room tear-out. Both include 14 days and no delivery fee. Annapolis is the southern end of the area MAC covers.
MAC Dumpsters, an owner-operated company run by Adam and Tara Graf from our yard at 1112 Middle River Rd in Middle River, MD. Adam runs operations and Tara handles the office. Since 2023 we've brought 10, 15 and 20 yard roll-offs to Annapolis and the rest of Anne Arundel County, as well as Baltimore City and Baltimore and Harford counties, on our own truck. Google reviewers rate us 5.0.

Book onlineOn your own property if there's room, such as a driveway, a rear yard or a parking pad. MAC Dumpsters can set a container on any surface, and our 10 yard is 12 feet long, which fits many small in-town lots. Many downtown and Murray Hill houses have no driveway, so the street is the only option.
If the container has to go on a city street, read our guide to dumpster street permits before you book.
Downtown Annapolis wraps around City Dock, with Main Street, Compromise Street and the Naval Academy close by. Houses here are old, close together and often attached, and most jobs are careful, room-at-a-time renovations.
Murray Hill sits just west of downtown near Spa Creek, with tree-lined streets of colonial houses, some dating to the 1920s, on very small lots. It's one of the tightest places in town to fit a container.
Across the Spa Creek Bridge, Eastport was laid out in 1868 when investors bought about 100 acres on the peninsula and split it into 256 lots of about the same size. Many houses on Chester, Chesapeake and Severn avenues and the numbered streets still sit on those original lots, between Spa Creek and Back Creek.
West Annapolis, near Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and College Creek, has tree-lined streets of colonials and 1950s bungalows. Some have been in one family for decades, and those cleanouts run big.
The 10 yard leads in Annapolis because so many in-town lots are small. The 15 yard leads for flood tear-outs and bigger remodels. The 20 yard is for a whole house in West Annapolis or a larger lot outside downtown.
The 10 yard dumpster is 12 feet long and holds about four pickup loads with 1.5 tons for $375. That's a bathroom, a single room or a small kitchen in a Murray Hill or Eastport house.
When a first floor takes water, or a kitchen and bath come out together, the 15 yard roll-off gives you room for room-scale tear-outs, with about six pickup loads and 2 tons for $450.
Clearing a long-held West Annapolis bungalow or a house on a bigger lot fits the 20 yard container, with about eight pickup loads and 3 tons for $550.
Estimates assume standard 33-gallon trash bags and a full-size pickup bed loaded level with the sides. Actual capacity depends on the material and how it's loaded. Included tonnage applies no matter how full the dumpster looks, and weight over it is billed per ton.
After high water, wet drywall, insulation, carpet, flooring and furniture come out fast before mold sets in. Our flood and storm debris dumpster page explains how to size a tear-out.
Old plaster, lath, trim and flooring come out of Murray Hill and downtown houses a room at a time. Loads are small but heavy.
Small Eastport houses on original lots get new kitchens, baths and additions. A 10 yard fits the lot, and a swap-out keeps a longer job going.
When a family leaves a house it has held for decades, everything goes at once. Our house cleanout dumpster page covers clearing a whole house in 14 days.
It depends on the mover. Many ask you to empty drawers, or at least take out anything heavy, fragile or valuable, so the dresser can be carried safely. Check with your moving company. Emptying drawers is also a good time to sort, since whatever you don't want can go straight into a MAC Dumpsters roll-off.
In a small Annapolis house, sorting before the movers arrive frees up room in the truck and in the house.
Many Murray Hill, downtown and Eastport houses have little or no off-street space. A rear yard or parking pad, if the house has one, is the best spot, and the 10 yard is the size most likely to fit. Call before you book so we can talk through the spot.
Houses in West Annapolis and the neighborhoods farther out usually have a driveway that fits any size. Look up for low limbs and wires, and see our placement and clearance tips for the rest.
Our 10 yard is the shortest container we carry, made for the Murray Hill and Eastport lots where a bigger one won't fit. It still holds about four pickup loads.
When a container has to sit in a small space, a quick job helps everyone. Clear it in 3 days or less and code 3DAY takes $50 off.
After high water, the 15 yard holds a room-by-room tear-out with 2 tons included, and a full one can be switched out at the same price.
I ordered a dumpster and it was delivered the same day within a few hours. Over the course of a week, the dumpster was switched out a few times as they became full. Each time it was picked up and the new one was delivered, the new amount that I would owe was made very clear, but also very fair. A few weeks later, I needed one more dumpster and it was dropped off due to a special circumstance on a Friday afternoon and picked up on a Saturday night. The manager was very helpful and clear about what was allowed to be put in the dumpster and what wasn't allowed in the dumpster. The driver was very helpful in lifting a couple of heavier items that I couldn't lift by myself into the dumpster. Overall, a very convenient and affordable experience.

With junk removal, the price often depends on how much space your load takes, and extra charges can come from heavy items, stairs or certain items like mattresses. With a MAC Dumpsters roll-off, every fee is published: the rental price, $125 per ton over the included weight, $25 per extra day, and the item fees for tires, mattresses and appliances.
Yes. We deliver to Eastport, Murray Hill, West Annapolis and downtown at the same prices, with no delivery fee. For small lots, call first so we can plan where it fits.
Yes. Wet drywall, carpet, insulation, flooring and furniture all go in. A 15 yard with 2 tons handles most room-by-room tear-outs, and flood debris is heavy, so it's worth sizing up rather than down.
