Parkton roads and places we serve
York Road through the old village
York Road, MD-45, follows the old York Turnpike, which opened in 1810. With the railroad that followed, Parkton became a shipping point for farmers' milk, grain and wood products, and the 1860s hotel and 1910s bank buildings from those years still stand in the village.
The Torrey C. Brown Rail Trail
The old Northern Central Railroad line through Parkton is now the Torrey C. Brown Rail Trail, part of Gunpowder Falls State Park. The last Parkton Local commuter train ran on it in 1959, and the trail now passes right through the village.
Middletown Road and the farm lanes
Off Middletown Road and the lanes that branch from it, houses sit on lots of an acre or more, many with barns, sheds, detached garages and long gravel driveways. Most homes out here run on wells and septic systems.
Toward Hereford and Prettyboy Reservoir
South toward Hereford and west toward Prettyboy Reservoir, the Hereford Zone mixes working farms, horse properties and newer houses on large lots. Wooded land means limbs and brush after every big storm.
The two sizes Parkton uses most
The 20 yard leads in Parkton because property cleanups here mix bulky and heavy material, and it carries the most included weight. The 10 yard is the pick when the job is one shed, one room or one fence line. The 15 yard handles a farmhouse kitchen or bath.
20 yard for a barn, a shed and the brush pile
A property cleanup can mean an outbuilding's contents, a collapsed shed and a winter's worth of downed limbs in one container. The 20 yard dumpster holds about eight pickup loads with 3 tons included for $550.
10 yard for one shed or one fence line
Tearing out a single shed or a run of old wood fencing fits the 10 yard roll-off at $375, with about four pickup loads and 1.5 tons.
15 yard for a farmhouse kitchen or bath
A kitchen or bathroom redo in an older farmhouse fits the 15 yard container, with about six pickup loads and 2 tons for $450.
Estimates assume standard 33-gallon trash bags and a full-size pickup bed loaded level with the sides. Actual capacity depends on the material and how it's loaded. Included tonnage applies no matter how full the dumpster looks, and weight over it is billed per ton.
Parkton jobs that fill a container
-
Barn and outbuilding cleanouts
Old equipment parts, lumber, broken furniture and decades of stored odds and ends come out of barns and sheds. Heavy items go in first, along the floor.
-
Storm limbs, brush and stumps
Wooded lots drop a lot of wood in a storm. Limbs, brush, stumps and sod all go in, and our yard waste dumpster rental page covers how to load them tight.
-
Old fencing and sheds
Wood fence boards, posts and a leaning shed or two are common spring jobs. Metal roofing and siding from a shed can go in too.
-
Farmhouse remodels
Older farmhouses bring plaster, lath, old flooring and trim when a kitchen or bath is redone. Our home renovation dumpster page covers loading remodel debris.
What does junk removal include?
Junk removal usually means a crew comes to your property, carries the items out, loads them into its own truck and hauls them away, priced by how much space the load takes. MAC Dumpsters doesn't do the labor. We drop a roll-off, you load it on your own schedule over 14 days, and we haul it away when you text us.
On a big property with a lot to clear, loading it yourself over two weeks lets you work around the weather and the rest of the farm.
Setting a container on a Parkton property
-
Gravel lanes, grass and open ground
We can set a container on any surface, including a gravel lane, a dirt pad or a grass field. Pick level ground close to where you'll be loading, and remember the truck needs room to back straight in. Call if the lane is narrow or has low branches.
-
Keeping clear of the well and septic
Before you pick a spot, mark where your septic tank, drain field and well sit, and keep the container off all three. Most driveways and barn pads are fine. For the rare job that needs the street, see our dumpster permit guide page first.
Why Parkton property owners call MAC
Old tires, any size, $15 each
Tires from trucks, trailers or a pile behind the barn go in at $15 each, whatever the size, on or off the rim. Count them before pickup so the fee is easy to plan for.
Set on gravel, grass or dirt
There's no need to clear a paved spot. We'll set the container where it's easiest for you to load, as long as the ground is level and the truck can back in.
Every fee on one list
The rental price, the per-ton rate, extra days and every item fee are published on our dumpster rental prices page. You can price a whole property cleanup before you book.

Parkton renters' questions
What cannot be put in general waste?
Paint, chemicals, fuel, batteries and other hazardous materials shouldn't go out with regular trash, and many areas have separate rules for electronics and appliances. In a MAC Dumpsters roll-off, paint, hazardous materials and freon appliances stay out, while electronics and non-freon appliances go in at $35 each.
Do you deliver to Hereford and White Hall?
Yes. We deliver across northern Baltimore County, including Hereford, White Hall and the rest of the Parkton area, at the same prices and with no delivery fee.
Can a dumpster sit on a gravel or dirt lane in Parkton?
Yes. We can set a roll-off on any surface, including gravel, dirt and grass. The spot should be level and clear of your well and septic system.
