Brush, limbs and leaves fill a dumpster by bulk long before they get heavy, and MAC Dumpsters sizes yard cleanups with that in mind. A 15 yard at $450 handles most seasonal cleanups, and a 20 yard at $550 takes lot clearing, with 14 days and no delivery fee on either. Stumps and sod are accepted too. We're an owner-operated dumpster hauler based in Middle River, MD, serving Baltimore City and Baltimore, Harford and Anne Arundel counties.

20 yard $550 includes 3 tons
Book onlineA 15 yard dumpster holds about six pickup truck loads of yard waste, and a 20 yard holds about eight. At MAC Dumpsters, that's enough for a full seasonal cleanup in the 15 yard, or a cleared lot in the 20. Branches take up more room when they're left whole, so cutting them down lets more fit.
The 15 yard roll-off is the size for a spring or fall cleanup, a hedge removal or the brush from a day of trimming. That's a bulk job, not a weight job, and the 2 tons included usually goes further than the space. The 4-foot walls keep tossing branches in easy.
The 20 yard dumpster fits clearing an overgrown lot, taking out a row of trees, or a big yard's worth of brush. Its 64-inch walls hold tall piles of limbs, and its 3 tons included give room for a few stumps or a sod job mixed in.
Estimates assume standard 33-gallon trash bags and a full-size pickup bed loaded level with the sides. Actual capacity depends on the material and how it's loaded. Included tonnage applies no matter how full the dumpster looks, and weight over it is billed per ton.
Branches brought down by wind are yard waste. They're light and bulky, and they size like a trimming job. A storm that sends water into the house is a different load: soaked drywall, carpet and furniture that weigh much more for their size. If your storm cleanup is inside the house, our dumpsters for storm damage page sizes it for wet debris.
The trees you're trimming are often the clearance problem. Our hook-lift truck typically needs 12 to 14 feet overhead, plus about 50 feet of straight-line room to back in and 10 to 12 feet of width. Low limbs over the drop spot can block the delivery, so trim those first or pick a clear spot. Call if it's tight.
The container can sit on grass, close to where you're working, anywhere except inside Bel Air town limits, where town code keeps dumpsters off grass and other pervious surfaces. On your own property, most areas we serve need no permit. A container on the street needs a right-of-way permit that you get yourself. More on spots and clearance is on our dumpster placement and clearance guide.
Spring, from March through May, is when most yard cleanups happen, and fall brings the leaves. Book the container for the day the cutting starts, since the 14 days count from delivery. Load as you go, so brush doesn't get handled twice.
Cut branches to lie flat and keep the load level with the top of the container. Long limbs sticking up past the rim can fall onto the road, so an overfilled container may not be hauled until the extra comes off. A weekend cleanup done in 3 days or less can use code 3DAY for $50 off.
A yard cleanup runs $450 for a 15 yard or $550 for a 20 yard, with delivery, pickup, 14 days and the included tonnage in the price. There's no delivery fee. Heavy loads of stumps or sod may add overage at $125 per ton, and days past day 14 are $25 each. See rates, tonnage and fees for everything we charge.
Stumps and rolled sod ride in the same container as the brush and leaves. You pay for any weight over the included tons, and nothing else changes.
The container can go on the lawn, next to the brush pile, instead of out at the curb. That's fewer trips with a wheelbarrow.
Finish the job in 3 days or less and code 3DAY takes $50 off. A Saturday of trimming with a Monday pickup fits inside it.
We deliver yard waste dumpsters to Baltimore City and across Baltimore, Harford and Anne Arundel counties, including Parkton, Kingsville, Forest Hill and Aberdeen. There's no delivery fee to any address in that area. Find your town on the towns on our delivery list.
Yes, tree stumps are accepted in MAC Dumpsters containers. Stumps are heavy, especially with soil around the roots, so knock off as much dirt as you can. Any weight over the included tonnage is billed at $125 per ton.
Yes. Grass clippings and leaves go in with the rest of your yard waste. Bag them or load them between branches so they don't blow out, and keep them dry when rain is coming, since wet clippings weigh more.
Yes. Rolled sod is accepted, soil and all. Sod is heavy for its size, so a big lawn replacement can pass the included tons. Loose dirt on its own can't go in.
Yes. Cut branches into shorter lengths so they lie flat. Whole limbs trap air and stick up past the top edge, which wastes space and can keep the container from being hauled until the load is level.
Wood fence posts and rails can go in with your yard waste. Posts set in concrete are the catch: concrete can't go in a MAC Dumpsters container, so break the footing off or cut the post above it first.
Tell us what's coming out of the yard and whether stumps or sod are part of it, and we'll match the size. Book online, or call (410) 205-5330 to talk through your debris.
